Hey everybody! i've been kind of toying around with weight loss and joining various communities so I recently started using Livejournal again and decided to see what support I could find. This community seems great! Anyways, here's a bit about me:

I've never been thin but in the past five or so years I've really lost control of my weight. I'm 19 and matured (physically) very early so that when everyone else was going through puberty and able to eat like crazy, I had already passed that phase. I basically learned to eat a lot of fattening food when I should have been learning to understand my appetite and bodily needs. I dropped a few pounds last year at school but then transferred to a different college this year and am well on my way to gaining that freshman fifteen. My BMI is overweight and my eating habits aren't changing so I figured it was time to kick this into high gear and see if I could find anyone who wanted to help or who I could help. OK, enough talking :)

Height: 5'3"
Current Weight: 145
High Weight: 145
Low Weight: 127
Goal Weight: between 115-120

Hope to talk to some of you soon! Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

Painesville Chapel

I had part of the afternoon off, and had to run into the city, so I decided to take my camera. Before I left, I found a few historic sites that weren't too far out of my way. This is from the Painesville Cemetery, in Franklin Wisconsin, just south of Milwaukee. Unfortunately, I didn't even leave the house until a little before 3:00, and by the time I got there, it was ten after four - on the shortest day of the year. It was pretty much dark by 4:30. I thought I had light, but I was shooting at ISO 800, and you can probably see the odd light, particularly in the first shot.

The site was the Painesville Chapel. The adjacent cemetery was started by some anti-religious German free thinkers (followers of Thomas Paine, among others). The chapel was built by German Protestants. It was used as an Army Depot during the Civil War, as well as by the Underground Railroad.

This is the marker for the Honadel family. The names on this side of the stone are John George Honadel (1793-1876), and Dorothy Honadel (1793-1871), both born in Alsace (a rather German area of France). On the very bottom of the stone is the name Cecelia, who could be their granddaughter (1866-1889). On the top, on the vase-looking thing is the name Isabella Honadel (1864-1937). There are names on all four sides of the marker, but this is all I can tell you.

Christine M. Dittmar (1802-1864), on the left. I can't make out the name on the right.

Sims 3 clock converted for Sims 2

I used to have this object, but now I can't seem to locate it. It was a modern-looking alarm clock from the Sims 3 that someone converted for use in the Sims 2. For the life of me I can't find it, not even a picture. Does anyone know where I can find it again? Thank you!

Hi everyone. I just added this community. I am 22 years old and just graduated from college in May. I have NO support in my effort to loose weight. My friends are all so thin and always invite me out to eat or what-not and i get fatter and they stay the same. And they are all skinny so they don't understand if I try to say "not thanks i am really trying to loose weight". Same thing with my boyfriend. He can eat whatever he wants and gains little to nothing. He also looses significant weight just from working out for a week.

I used to be very skinny in high school.
I am just under 5'4"
In high school i averaged between 108-118 lbs.
The secret was I couldn't drive so i walked EVERYWHERE. Miles a day.
Then I got my license. Then I went to college and lived in the dorm and ate pizza and drank beer 24/7.
Then i lost a bit of weight when i moved home but was still around 130.
Then i started dating my boyfriend. I love him. But he always gets junk food and i ate it with him.
Before i knew it i was....
I HAVE NEVER SAID THIS OUTLOUD...
170.
I am actually overweight. I used to be underweight. I HATE IT. I used to look in the mirror and feel pretty and sexy and now i just want to cry.

I have lost about 7 lbs so far. But its been very hard.

I really need a diet buddy that could give me a little support and help keep me accountable!

My back is covered in acne and I'm
leaving for Florida (and will therefore be seen in a bikini) in a little over a month. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

This is a very cool, large, older cemetery in the middle of one of the neighborhoods, and I took a lot of photos there I will post about at some point. For this post, though, I wanted to share a monument that completely surprised me.

I love this statue on its own: there's such a sense of movement and joy with it. But it actually goes with the bench/monument behind it (family named Puddy), which has one of the most beautiful epitaphs I think I've ever seen:

"Come sit with us awhile and share our sorrow. Though you weep, share the joyful memories too. Look in your heart: In truth you mourn for that which has been your delight. For joy and sorrow are inseparable."

Cut for a few more images of details and angles )

I finally got to go to this cemetery. My husband has been promising to take me there for years. Its on a farm so we had to get permission then hiked in. The sun began setting while i was taking pics, but I kind of like the effect.
All are from the Late 1800s except the one from 1968? Also, there are some that just have plain stones as markers.
There were some odd things we passed on the way in.
